The Role
RockCorps is launching in Brazil in partnership with a major global brand. Each year, the program will engage 40,000 volunteers who will each give 4 hours of their time across 300 community volunteer projects, delivered with up to 200 partner NGOs (160,000 hours of volunteering in total) across 6 cities: São Paulo (the hub city, hosting the vast majority of projects) plus Belém, Salvador, Brasília, Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte. Volunteer projects will run from November 2026 to April 2027.

These community projects culminate in a celebration concert in São Paulo in April 2027, featuring international and Brazilian artists The only people attending will be those that did the volunteer work — RockCorps’ “Give, Get Given” model.

RockCorps is now recruiting its core management team for this project.

The Head of Operations will spearhead and manage the Brazil delivery team, responsible for ensuring the program is delivered and reporting to RockCorps’ Global Director of Operations — working closely with RockCorps’ Global Co-Founder and CEO, the Brazil Country Co-Founder and the global team.

The production of the concert and video content will be managed separately and is not directly part of this job.

Key Responsibilities
Overall:

●      Delivery of 300 community volunteer projects across São Paulo, Belém, Salvador, Brasília, Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte, from November 2026 through April 2027

●      Responsible for honoring commitments and delivering value back to RockCorps’ brand partner

●      Maintain operational integrity of the RockCorps model at all times, adapted appropriately to the Brazilian market

●      Communicate all program activities back to the CEO and the global team; assist with compilation of progress reports, management information and other data as required

Marketing & Communications:

●      Ultimate responsibility for the program’s marketing and communications function — recruitment campaign strategy, brand development, media, PR, digital, social media and grassroots marketing — working closely with the Marketing & Comms Manager and team

●      Own delivery of recruitment targets for the program, driving awareness and registrations through to the program website

●      Main point of contact, along with the Marketing & Comms Manager, with the brand partner’s marketing team on all marketing and communications matters

Volunteer registration:

●      Supervising the CRM system and the Volunteer Services team that gets volunteers from registration of interest — via the brand partner’s customer app, the program website and social channels — to a volunteer project

●      Ensure that volunteers have a positive experience of volunteering

●      Ensure that our NGO partners (up to 200 across the program) get meaningful work done and are happy to be a part of the program

●      Coordination with the recruitment marketing that drives the brand partner’s customers and employees to the program website. Website registration responsibility will sit with another RockCorps executive

●      Supervise the management of key outside agencies and partners in communicating both the underlying message of the program and the recruitment need for volunteers, across the brand partner’s customer and employee base

Volunteering Projects:

●      Ultimate responsibility for recruiting, managing and leading the Brazil delivery team — circa 100 people across the volunteering project, logistics, volunteer services (CRM) and NGO coordination functions — to successfully execute the program

●      Financial accountability for a significant program execution budget

●      Health, Safety and Insurance for the community volunteer projects

●      Supervise the management of key business relationships with NGO partners, suppliers and other local contacts

●      Creating an enthusiastic and collaborative culture within the RockCorps team; ensuring the health and well-being of staff

●      Creating a welcoming and diverse team that reflects the demographics of the volunteers and Brazil

●      Ensure the 2 warehouses for project equipment and offices dedicated for the project team in São Paulo are secured and operational

Skills & Experience
This is an integral role within the business; leading the RockCorps Brazil Program from planning to a successful implementation.

●      15 years minimum experience. Extensive track record of effective planning, production, issue resolution, project management and risk management skills

●      Experience managing teams of comparable or larger size (the Brazil delivery team totals circa 100 people across project, logistics, volunteer services/CRM and NGO functions)

●      You will be confident, articulate and personable, with demonstrated leadership experience and excellent communication skills; with skills to quickly build rapport with local partners and other contacts in order to forge lasting, successful working relationships

●      Experience in some, or all, of the following: production, project management, communications, events management, sponsorship, advertising, digital content and media

●      Understand how and embrace how social impact is increasingly becoming important to brands, governments, artists and celebrities, NGOs and people overall; understands the continued emergence of pro-social marketing

●      Understand the RockCorps concept and is passionate about delivering the program

●      Strongly attentive to detail, able to multi-task and have perseverance to follow through on organizational issues

●      An all-round team player; collaborative, calm under pressure, able to celebrate success, creative and agile as this will be a fast-paced, dynamic working environment

●      Innovative in your approach, with a ‘can-do’ attitude

●      Experienced in managing high level budgets

●      Familiarity with, or strong interest in learning, Brazil’s cultural incentive framework (Lei Rouanet) and how it shapes program structure and spend is a plus

●      Flexible, as there will be a degree of travelling within Brazil (São Paulo, Belém, Salvador, Brasília, Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte) and potentially to the UK, where the global team are based

●      Possess resilience and able to manage multiple tasks, under deadlines

●      Have a love of music and sense of humor

●      Bilingual English and Portuguese – fluent to native level – is mandatory

●      Must be based in São Paulo for the duration of the project

Compensation
Salary: BRL 23,000 gross per month, paid over 13 salaries per year (12 monthly payments plus the 13th-salary/”décimo terceiro” bonus, as is standard in Brazil).
